Product Specific Information

The eBioMWReg30 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD41 (fibrinogen receptor, gpIIb, integrin alpha IIb). Initially known to be expressed on platelets and megakaryocytes, CD41 is also found on hematopoietic progenitors in embryos, fetuses, and adults. CD41 forms a receptor with CD61 (gpIIIa, integrin beta III) that mediates platelet adhesion through fibrinogen, fibronectin, and vitronectin binding.

CD150+CD48−CD41− expression efficiently identifies hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) with enhanced reconstitution potential.
Reported application: flow cytometric analysis.
Tested application: flow cytometric analysis of mouse platelets using ≤1.0 µg/test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test). Optimize antibody titration per assay.

Super Bright 600 is a tandem dye excited by the violet laser (405 nm) and emits at 600 nm; recommended filter: 610/20 bandpass.
Use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401) when staining with multiple Super Bright conjugates to minimize polymer interactions.
Light sensitive—protect from exposure.
Samples may be fixed using IC Fixation Buffer (Product # 00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product # 00-5333-57) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark with minimal brightness loss.

Target Information

CD41 (platelet glycoprotein IIb, ITGA2B) consists of two subunits (120 kDa alpha and 23 kDa beta) that interact with CD61 in the presence of calcium to form a functional adhesive receptor. CD41 mediates platelet aggregation and binds von Willebrand factor, fibrinogen, fibronectin, and vitronectin during vessel injury. Expressed mainly in megakaryocyte-platelet lineages and early hematopoietic differentiation stages.
Associated diseases include Glansmann Thrombasthenia and Platelet-type 16 bleeding disorder.
