Target Information
This gene encodes poly(ADP-ribosyl)transferase-like 1 protein, which catalyzes poly(ADP-ribosyl)ation reactions. The protein has a catalytic domain homologous to poly(ADP-ribosyl) transferase but lacks an N-terminal DNA binding domain that activates the catalytic domain. Since it cannot bind DNA directly, its transferase activity may be activated by other factors such as protein-protein interactions mediated by the extensive carboxyl terminus.
