Product Specific Information
This antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum using epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
CEACAM7 (Carcinoembryonic Antigen-related Cell Adhesion Molecule 7) belongs to the CEA family. It encodes a glycosyl phosphatidylinositol (GPI)-linked glycoprotein expressed on the apical surface of highly differentiated epithelial cells in adult colon and a small epithelial population in pancreatic ducts. CEACAM7 expression is lost during malignant transformation, including in hyperplastic polyps, early adenomas, and adenocarcinomas of the colon. It contains a single N domain homologous to immunoglobulin variable domains, followed by one immunoglobulin constant-like A domain.
