This antibody detects endogenous levels of total Cytochrome P450 2F1.
Target Information
CYP2F1 is a member of the cytochrome P450 superfamily of enzymes. These monooxygenases catalyze reactions involved in drug metabolism and the synthesis of cholesterol, steroids, and other lipids. CYP2F1 localizes to the endoplasmic reticulum and is known to dehydrogenate 3-methylindole (an endogenous toxin derived from tryptophan fermentation) as well as xenobiotic substrates such as naphthalene and ethoxycoumarin.
