This antibody recognizes natural killer cell p46-related protein (NKp46), also known as CD335, which is uniquely expressed by resting and activated natural killer (NK) cells. No expression of CD335 has been detected on B cells, T cells, monocytes, or granulocytes.
Target Information
NKp46 (CD335, NCR1) is a cytotoxicity-activating receptor that may contribute to the increased efficiency of activated natural killer (NK) cells to mediate tumor cell lysis. NKp46 consists of two Ig-like domains assembled similarly to leukocyte immunoglobulin-like (LIR) and killer inhibitory receptors (KIR).
