Target Information
GRP78 (78 kDa glucose regulated protein)은 HSP70 계열의 열충격 단백질로, 소포체(ER)에 존재하며 새로 합성된 분비 단백질 및 막 단백질과 일시적으로 결합합니다.
GRP78은 변성되거나 잘못 접힌 단백질과 상호작용하여 분해를 유도하며, C-말단의 Lys-Asp-Glu-Leu (KDEL) 서열을 통해 ER 내 단백질의 재순환을 조절합니다.
또한 GRP78은 단백질 접힘 및 세포 항상성 유지에 필수적이며, 세포사멸 억제에 관여합니다.
GRP78 발현 수준은 저혈당의 생체표지자로 알려져 있으며, 산화 스트레스에 노출된 뉴런에서 신경 보호 기능을 수행합니다.
알츠하이머병 환자의 뇌에서는 GRP78 수준이 감소하며, 인간 presenilin-1 (PS1) 유전자 변이와 관련된 발현 저하가 보고되었습니다.
또한 항암제 내성 발달과 GRP78 단백질 유도 간의 연관성이 확인되었습니다.
