Product Specific Information

This antibody is predicted to react with Monkey, Cat, and Bovine.

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Advantages of recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies:

  • Better specificity and sensitivity
  • Lot-to-lot consistency
  • Animal origin-free formulations
  • Broader immunoreactivity due to larger rabbit immune repertoire

Target Information

CXCL13, also known as BCA-1 and Angie, is a small chemokine strongly expressed in secondary lymphoid organs. It promotes migration of B lymphocytes (B-1 and B-2) to follicles of the spleen, lymph nodes, and Peyer’s patches.

It is produced by macrophages; in mice, large peritoneal macrophages, Kupffer cells, and lung macrophages (both CD11c+ and CD11c−) are major producers. The cellular ligand for CXCL13 is CXCR5 (also known as BLR-1), expressed on B cells, Tfh cells, and some memory T cell populations.

CXCL13 plays an important role in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CCL) development and serves as a plasma biomarker for germinal center activity and broadly neutralizing antibody generation against HIV.
