Target Information
STAT5 alpha는 STAT 전사인자 패밀리의 구성원으로, cytokine 및 growth factor 자극에 의해 receptor-associated kinase에 의해 인산화되어 핵으로 이동 후 전사 활성화를 수행합니다.
STAT5 alpha는 IL2, IL3, IL7, GM-CSF, erythropoietin, thrombopoietin 등 다양한 리간드 반응을 매개하며, TEL/JAK2 융합 유전자 관련 종양에서 지속 활성화되어 종양 발생에 필수적인 역할을 합니다.
Mouse STAT5 alpha는 BCL2L1/BCL-X(L) 발현을 유도하여 항아포토시스 기능을 나타내며, STAT5 beta와 96%의 서열 유사성을 보입니다. 두 단백질은 대부분의 조직에서 함께 발현되며, STAT5 alpha는 생식, 수유, 면역 기능, 성장 등 다양한 생리적 과정에 관여합니다.
