Product Specific Information
- In Western blots, less than 5% cross-reactivity with recombinant rat FABP2, recombinant human FABP3, recombinant mouse FABP4, and FABP5 is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
FABP1 encodes the fatty acid binding protein found in the liver. These proteins are small, highly conserved, cytoplasmic molecules that bind long-chain fatty acids and other hydrophobic ligands.
FABP1 and FABP6 (ileal fatty acid binding protein) can also bind bile acids. Their roles include fatty acid uptake, transport, and metabolism.
