Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
LAMP2 (Lysosome-associated membrane glycoprotein 2, CD107b) is a member of a family of membrane glycoproteins. It provides selectins with carbohydrate ligands and may play roles in tumor cell metastasis, lysosomal protection, maintenance, and adhesion.
- Precursor form: ~46 kDa polypeptide
- Mature form: 100–130 kDa after extensive glycosylation
- Structure: large amino-terminal intra-lysosomal domain, hydrophobic transmembrane domain, short cytoplasmic tail
- Variants: LAMP-2A, LAMP-2B, LAMP-2C
- Function: involved in lysosome biogenesis and fusion with phagosomes
- Deficiency: leads to accumulation of autophagosomes, causing cardiomyopathy and myopathy (Danon’s disease)
LAMP2, together with CD107a/LAMP-1, is a major constituent of lysosomal membranes and is used to monitor chaperone-mediated autophagy.
