Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

This antibody has specificity for Mouse LAIR-1/CD305.

Target Information

LAIR1 (CD305) functions as an inhibitory receptor that negatively regulates cytolytic activity of NK cells, B-cells, and T-cells. Activation by tyrosine phosphorylation recruits and activates phosphatases PTPN6 and PTPN11, reducing intracellular calcium increase triggered by B-cell receptor ligation. It modulates cytokine production in CD4+ T-cells, down-regulating IL2 and IFNG while inducing TGF-β secretion. It also down-regulates IgG and IgE production in B-cells and inhibits IL8, IL10, and TNF secretion. LAIR1 inhibits proliferation and induces apoptosis in myeloid leukemia cell lines, preventing NF-κB p65 nuclear translocation and I-κBα phosphorylation, and inhibits differentiation of peripheral blood precursors toward dendritic cells.
