Target Information
Alpha Fetoprotein (AFP)는 태아 시기 난황낭, 장관 및 간에서 주로 생성되는 주요 혈장 단백질입니다. 성인에서 AFP 발현은 간암(hepatoma) 또는 기형종(teratoma)과 관련될 수 있으며, 일부에서는 병리적 요인 없이 유전적으로 지속될 수 있습니다. AFP는 혈청 알부민의 태아형으로 알려져 있으며, 두 유전자는 염색체 4상에서 나란히 존재합니다. AFP는 단량체, 이량체, 삼량체 형태로 존재하며, 구리, 니켈, 지방산 및 빌리루빈과 결합할 수 있습니다. 양수 내 AFP 수치는 척추이분증 및 무뇌증 선별 검사에 사용되며, 혈청 AFP의 높은 수준은 간세포암, 기형종, 대장암, 췌장암 및 생식세포종양과 관련이 있습니다.
