Product Specific Information
The MEL-14 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD62L, a 76 kDa member of the selectin family. CD62L is expressed by neutrophils, monocytes, and subsets of T, B, and NK cells. It binds glycosylated, fucosylated, and sialylated glycoproteins such as CD34, glycam-1, and MAdCam-1, mediating lymphocyte rolling on activated endothelium and homing to high endothelial venules (HEV) of peripheral lymphoid tissues.

Staining Recommendations:
When using multiple polymer dye-conjugated antibodies, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (SB-4401-42) or Brilliant Stain Buffer™ (00-4409-75) to minimize non-specific interactions.

Target Information
CD62L (L-Selectin) is a 74–95 kDa glycoprotein adhesion receptor in the selectin family. It includes a C-type lectin domain, EGF-like domain, SCR sequences, spacer, transmembrane, and cytoplasmic regions.
It is constitutively expressed on most leukocytes, including lymphocytes, monocytes, and polymorphonuclear cells, except for many memory T cells.
