Store vial at -20°C prior to opening. Aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below for extended storage. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. This product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.

This affinity-purified antibody is directed against the phosphorylated form of human GSK3A at the pS21 residue. It reacts specifically with phosphorylated pS21 of human GSK3A, showing minimal reactivity with non-phosphorylated forms. BLAST analysis suggests reactivity with proteins from human, chimpanzee, and rat based on 100% homology for the immunogen sequence. Cross-reactivity with homologues from other species has not been determined.

Glycogen synthase kinase 3 alpha (GSK3A) is a multifunctional serine/threonine kinase involved in the regulation of various proteins and transcription factors. (Alias: DKFZp686D0638). Human GSTs can be divided into five main classes: alpha, mu, pi, theta, and zeta. The theta class includes GSTT1 and GSTT2, which share 55% amino acid sequence identity and are implicated in human carcinogenesis. The GSTT1 gene is located approximately 50 kb from the GSTT2 gene, and both have similar structures composed of five exons with identical exon/intron boundaries.
