For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL (Product #89882).

BRCA1 (Breast and Ovarian Cancer Susceptibility Protein 1)
BRCA1 is a nuclear phosphoprotein involved in maintaining genomic stability and acts as a tumor suppressor through interaction with DNA damage sensors and other signal transducers forming the BASC complex (BRCA1-associated genome surveillance complex). It associates with RNA polymerase II and histone deacetylase complexes, playing roles in transcription regulation, DNA repair of double-stranded breaks, and recombination.

Mutations in BRCA1 account for approximately 40% of inherited breast cancers and over 80% of inherited breast and ovarian cancers. Alternative splicing affects BRCA1’s localization and function, with several disease-associated variants identified. A related pseudogene is also located on chromosome 17.
