Target Information
Caspase-activated DNase (CAD)는 apoptosis 동안 염색체 DNA를 절단하는 효소입니다. CAD는 ICAD(inhibitor of CAD)와 복합체로 존재하며, ICAD는 CAD의 접힘을 돕고 DNase 활성을 억제합니다. apoptosis 과정에서 활성화된 caspase는 ICAD를 절단하여 CAD를 방출하고, CAD는 핵으로 이동하여 DNA를 절단합니다.
세포 사멸은 TNF 계열 사멸 인자, UV 조사, 항암제, 생존 인자 결핍 등 다양한 자극에 의해 유도되며, Bcl-2 계열 단백질, heat shock protein, IAPs 등의 균형에 의해 조절됩니다.
현재까지 apoptosis에 관여하는 caspase family의 구성원은 14종이 확인되었습니다.
