Product Specific Information
Store vial at -20°C prior to opening. Aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below for extended storage. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature.
This product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
This antibody is specific for human p90 RSK1 protein. A BLAST analysis suggests cross-reactivity with p90 RSK1 from human, rat, mouse, horse, bovine, and dog based on 100% homology with the immunizing sequence. Cross-reactivity with p90 RSK1 pS732 from other sources has not been determined.
Target Information
RPS6KA1 (RSK1) is a growth-factor regulated serine/threonine kinase involved in the MAPK cascade. It controls cellular proliferation and differentiation through phosphorylation of transcription factors. RPS6KA1 contains two nonidentical kinase catalytic domains and phosphorylates various substrates, including members of the mitogen-activated kinase (MAPK) signaling pathway. Its activity is implicated in controlling cell growth and differentiation. Alternate transcriptional splice variants encoding different isoforms have been characterized.
