Store vial at -20°C prior to opening. Aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below for extended storage. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature.
This product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.

Directed against human STAT6 pY641 protein. A BLAST analysis suggests cross-reactivity with STAT6 pY641 protein from human at 100% based on homology with the immunizing sequence. Reactivity against homologues from other sources is not known.

Target Information

STAT6 protein is a transcription factor activated by cytokines, particularly interleukin-4 and IL13. STAT6-deficient models show impaired IL-4-mediated functions including Th2 helper T-cell differentiation, expression of surface markers, T-cell proliferation, immunoglobulin class switching to IgE, and partial loss of IL-4 mediated proliferation.
STAT6 mRNA is expressed in peripheral blood lymphocytes, colon, intestine, ovary, prostate, thymus, spleen, kidney, liver, lung, and placenta. STAT6 plays a critical role in Th2 immune response and IL-4-mediated biological processes. It exists in two isoforms: STAT6a and STAT6c.
