This antibody detects endogenous protein at a molecular weight of 44 kDa.

Target Information
Neuregulin 1 (NRG1) was originally identified as a 44-kDa glycoprotein that interacts with the NEU/ERBB2 receptor tyrosine kinase to increase its phosphorylation on tyrosine residues.
A variety of isoforms are produced from the NRG1 gene by alternative splicing, including heregulins (HRGs), glial growth factors (GGFs), and sensory and motor neuron-derived factor (SMDF).
These isoforms are tissue-specifically expressed and differ in structure. HRG isoforms contain immunoglobulin (Ig) and EGF-like domains; GGF isoforms include kringle-like, Ig, and EGF-like domains; SMDF isoform shares only the EGF-like domain.
All NRG1 isoforms interact with ERBB family tyrosine kinase receptors to induce growth and differentiation of epithelial, neuronal, glial, and other cell types.
