Target Information
GRAMD1A는 콜레스테롤을 세포막(PM)에서 소포체(ER)로 비소포성(non-vesicular) 운반하는 콜레스테롤 수송 단백질입니다.
특정 도메인을 통해 콜레스테롤과 PM에 결합하여 PM과 ER 사이의 콜레스테롤 전달을 매개하며, 콜레스테롤 항상성 유지에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
지질이 부족한 상태에서는 ER에 위치하고, PM의 콜레스테롤이 과잉일 때는 GRAM 도메인을 매개로 ER-PM 접촉 부위(EPCS)로 이동합니다.
EPCS에서 VASt/ASTER 도메인이 PM의 콜레스테롤과 결합하여 이를 ER로 전달합니다.
또한 자가포식(autophagy) 조절 및 자가포식소체 형성에 필요한 기능을 수행하며, 종양 진행에도 관여할 수 있습니다.
