Target Information

ITGB1BP1 is a key regulator of integrin-mediated cell-matrix interaction signaling. It binds to the ITGB1 cytoplasmic tail, preventing activation of integrin alpha-5/beta-1 by talin or FERMT1.
It plays roles in:

• Cell proliferation, differentiation, adhesion, migration, and angiogenesis
• Regulation of focal adhesion dynamics and integrin clustering
• Rho family GTPase signaling modulation (CDC42, RAC1)
• Osteoblast spreading and migration
• Bone mineralization and fibronectin fibrillogenesis
• Negative regulation of angiogenesis via Notch signaling pathway activation and AKT/ERK modulation
• Promotion of MYC promoter transcriptional activity
