Product Specific Information

This 2F1 monoclonal antibody reacts with the mouse Killer cell Lectin-like Receptor G1 (KLRG1), also known as Mast cell Function-associated Antigen (MAFA).
KLRG1 is a homodimer of glycosylated 30–38 kDa subunits and contains a cytoplasmic motif similar to ITIM.
Expression has not been detected on mouse mast cells but is present on one-third of mouse NK cells and a subset of T cells.
MHC class I molecules regulate KLRG1 through Ly49 and SHP-1 signaling.

Super Bright 600 is a tandem dye excited by the violet laser (405 nm) and emits at 600 nm. Recommended filter: 610/20 bandpass.
Use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401) to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.

Light Sensitivity: Protect from light.
Fixation: Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product # 00-8222) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product # 00-5333) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark.

Target Information

KLRG1 (Killer cell lectin-like receptor G1, MAFA, 2F1-Ag) is a homodimeric inhibitory receptor expressed on NK and certain T cells.
It contains ITIM motifs that interact with SHP-1 phosphatase domains, regulating NK cell and T cell responses to tumors and viral infections.
