Intact IgG appears on a non-reducing gel as ~150 kDa band and upon reduction generates a ~25 kDa light chain and a ~50 kDa heavy chain.
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select optimal candidates for production.

Target Information
AKT1 (PKB alpha) is a serine/threonine kinase regulating cell survival. Activated AKT1 inhibits apoptosis and promotes cell cycle progression by phosphorylating multiple targets in various cell types, including cancer cells.
This kinase is activated by insulin, PI3K, IGF1, and other growth and survival factors. Akt promotes cell survival by inhibiting apoptosis through phosphorylation and inactivation of targets such as forkhead transcription factors and caspase-9.
The AKT pathway is a major focus in cancer drug discovery.
