Mouse anti-Human CD49d monoclonal antibody, clone 44H6, recognizes human CD49d (integrin alpha-4 or VLA-4 subunit alpha).
Target Information
Integrin alpha 4 (CD49d, ITGA4) is a member of the integrin alpha chain family. Integrins are heterodimeric membrane proteins composed of alpha and beta chains. The alpha4 chain associates with beta1 or beta7 chains. Ligand-binding sites are located on the alpha4 chain and include MadCAM, VCAM, and fibronectin. MadCAM is the principal ligand for integrin alpha4beta7. HIV-1 envelope can mimic MadCAM by binding and signaling through integrin alpha4beta7, the gut mucosal homing receptor for peripheral T cells.
