Target Information

GPR65 (also known as TDAG8) is a transmembrane protein belonging to the G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) superfamily.
It has 337 amino acids and shows 90% similarity and 81% identity in the seven transmembrane domains of its mouse homolog.
This receptor contains three potential N-linked glycosylation sites and is predominantly expressed in lymphoid organs and cancer tissues. Expression increases during activation-induced death of T-cell hybridomas.

Two major transcripts (4.5 kb and 1.8 kb) are found in peripheral blood leukocytes. GPR65 functions as a proton-sensing receptor, coupling to adenylyl cyclase and psychosine, and plays a role in immunological autotolerance. It is also involved in cellular transformation via RhoA activation and actin rearrangement under acidic conditions.
