For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Ubiquitin is a highly conserved protein responsible for targeting cellular proteins for degradation by the 26S proteasome.
UBA52 encodes a fusion protein consisting of ubiquitin at the N-terminus and ribosomal protein S27a at the C-terminus.
When expressed in yeast, the protein is processed to generate free ubiquitin and ribosomal protein S27a.
Ribosomal protein S27a is part of the 40S ribosomal subunit, contains C4-type zinc finger domains, and is located in the cytoplasm.
Pseudogenes derived from this gene are present in the genome.
Similar fusion proteins include ribosomal protein L40 and S30, synthesized with ubiquitin or ubiquitin-like protein fubi.
