Target Information

ZBTB17 is a transcription factor that can act as both an activator and repressor depending on its binding partners. It regulates negative modulators of cell cycle progression and is critical for early lymphocyte development by preventing apoptosis in lymphoid precursors, enabling IL7 responsiveness and lineage commitment.
It binds promoters of adenovirus major late protein and cyclin D1 to activate transcription and is required for early embryonic development during gastrulation.
