Product Specific Information

Description:
Monoclonal antibody HP-F1 recognizes CD85j (ILT2, LILRB1, LIR1), a member of the ILT/LIR/MIR receptor family. CD85j is a single transmembrane glycoprotein with four ITIMs signaling through SHP-1. Expressed on myeloid cells (monocytes, dendritic cells) and subsets of NK, T, and B cells. Expression correlates with leukemias (ALL, CLL) and viral infections (HIV, EBV, CMV). Ligands include MHC Class I molecules such as HLA-G, A, F, B27, E, and F.

Applications Reported:

• Flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:

• Pre-diluted and tested by flow cytometry of human peripheral blood cells.
• Use at 5 µL (0.5 µg) per test (100 µL final volume).
• Suitable for 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test.

• Excitation: 405 nm

• Recommended filter: 450/50 bandpass or equivalent.

Target Information

This gene belongs to the leukocyte immunoglobulin-like receptor (LIR) family located on chromosome 19q13.4.
The encoded protein contains extracellular immunoglobulin domains, a transmembrane domain, and cytoplasmic ITIM motifs.
Expressed on immune cells, it binds MHC class I molecules, transmitting inhibitory signals that regulate immune responses and prevent autoreactivity.
Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms exist.
