Target Information
SIRT3는 sirtuin 단백질 계열에 속하며, yeast Sir2 단백질의 상동체입니다. sirtuin 계열은 core domain을 가지며 4개의 클래스로 구분됩니다. 인간 sirtuin의 기능은 아직 명확히 밝혀지지 않았으나, yeast sirtuin은 유전자 발현의 후성유전적 조절 및 rDNA 재조합 억제에 관여하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. 연구 결과에 따르면 인간 sirtuin은 mono-ADP-ribosyltransferase 활성을 가진 세포 내 조절 단백질로 작용할 가능성이 있습니다. SIRT3는 sirtuin 계열의 class I에 속합니다.
