Target Information
TLR3 (Toll-like receptor 3, CD283)는 병원체 인식 및 선천 면역 활성화에 중요한 역할을 하는 Toll-like receptor (TLR) 계열 단백질입니다.
이 단백질은 바이러스 감염과 관련된 이중가닥 RNA(dsRNA)를 인식하여 NF-κB 및 Type I interferon 신호 경로를 활성화합니다.
TLR3는 주로 태반과 췌장에서 발현되며, 수지상세포 하위 집단에서 제한적으로 나타납니다.
또한 TRIF를 어댑터 단백질로 사용하는 유일한 인간 TLR로, MyD88을 사용하지 않습니다.
TLR3 활성화는 Type I interferon 유도뿐 아니라 염증성 사이토카인 생산과 수지상세포 성숙을 유도합니다.
최근 연구에서는 TLR3가 Influenza A 및 West Nile Virus를 포함한 여러 바이러스의 인식 및 감염 과정에 관여함이 밝혀졌습니다.
