Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
NADH:ubiquinone oxidoreductase (complex I) is a multiprotein complex located in the inner mitochondrial membrane. It plays a crucial role in energy metabolism by transporting electrons from NADH to ubiquinone, coupled with proton translocation from the mitochondrial matrix to the intermembrane space.
Human complex I consists of 41 subunits, of which subunits 1–7 are encoded by mitochondrial genes and the remainder by nuclear genes.
NADH dehydrogenase subunit 3 (ND3) is part of the hydrophobic protein fragment of complex I. Mutations in the ND3 gene may be associated with Parkinson’s disease.
