Target Information
EGFR (epidermal growth factor receptor)는 다양한 성장 인자에 반응하는 수용체 티로신 키나아제로, 여러 암종에서 과발현되는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. 인간의 7번 염색체에 위치한 EGFR 유전자는 HER/ERbB 단백질 패밀리에 속하며, ERbB2, ERbB3, ERbB4를 포함합니다.
EGFR은 세포막 수용체로서 EGF(Epidermal Growth Factor)나 TGFα(Transforming Growth Factor alpha)와 같은 리간드 결합 시 이합체를 형성하고, 세포질 도메인의 티로신 잔기 자가인산화를 유도합니다.
EGFR 과발현은 두경부, 뇌, 방광, 위, 유방, 폐, 자궁내막, 자궁경부, 외음부, 난소, 식도, 위 및 편평세포암 등 다양한 종양에서 관찰됩니다.
