V5 epitope tag는 simian virus (SV5) paramyxovirus의 P 및 V 단백질에 존재하는 작은 epitope (Pk)에서 유래되었습니다.
일반적으로 14개의 아미노산(GKPIPNPLLGLDST)을 사용하지만, 짧은 9개의 아미노산(IPNPLLGLD) 서열로도 사용됩니다.
