Product Specific Information

The MU5UBEE monoclonal antibody reacts with human and non-human primate CD185 (CXCR5/BLR1), a seven-transmembrane G protein-coupled receptor originally identified in Burkitt’s lymphoma.
In peripheral blood, CD185 is expressed on B cells, CD4+ T cells (excluding Th1/Th2), and a subset of memory T cells (CD45RO+). It plays a critical role in lymphocyte trafficking, particularly in T cell migration into B cell follicles of germinal centers in response to CXCL13, serving as a marker of follicular helper T cells.

This antibody cross-reacts with Rhesus macaque. Each product includes one vial of NovaFluor conjugate and one vial of CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer.

• Recommended use: 5 µL (0.125 µg) per test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test)

Note: NovaFluor dyes are incompatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes (e.g., PI, 7-AAD, DAPI).
Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains for optimal results.

CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer (Cat. No. C001T06F01) is required for optimal staining with NovaFluor conjugates.

• Add 5 µL per sample to antibody cocktails before combining with cells.
• For single-color controls, use 5 µL per 100 µL of cell sample.

Target Information

CXCR5 (C-X-C Chemokine Receptor Type 5, CD185), also known as Burkitt lymphoma receptor 1 (BLR1), belongs to the CXC chemokine receptor family.
It is a G protein-coupled receptor for chemokine BLC and is expressed in lymphatic tissues such as lymph node follicles and spleen.
CXCR5 plays an essential role in B cell migration and is detected in various human and animal tissues including blood, lymph nodes, spleen, and tonsil.

G-protein Coupled Receptors (GPCRs) share a seven-transmembrane structure and play crucial roles in signal transduction.
