Product Specific Information

The MU5UBEE monoclonal antibody reacts with human and non-human primate CD185 (CXCR5/BLR1), a seven-transmembrane G protein-coupled receptor originally identified in Burkitt’s lymphoma.
In peripheral blood, CD185 is expressed on B cells, CD4⁺ T cells (excluding Th1/Th2), and a subset of memory (CD45RO⁺) T cells. It plays a key role in lymphocyte trafficking and T cell migration into B cell follicles in response to CXCL13, serving as a marker of follicular helper T cells.
This antibody cross-reacts with Rhesus macaque.

Each product includes:

  • 1 vial of NovaFluor conjugate
  • 1 vial of CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Pre-titrated for flow cytometry using normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended use: 5 µL (0.125 µg) per test in 100 µL volume.

Note:

  • NovaFluor dyes are not compatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes (e.g., propidium iodide, 7-AAD, DAPI).
  • Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains for viability.
  • CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer (Cat. No. C001T06F01) is required for optimal staining.
    • Add 5 µL per sample to antibody cocktails before combining with cells.
    • For single-color controls: 5 µL per 100 µL cell sample (10³–10⁸ cells).

NovaFluor conjugates utilize Phiton™ technology, based on novel nucleic acid dye structures engineered for optimized fluorescence with minimal spillover and spread.

Target Information

CXCR5 (C-X-C Chemokine Receptor Type 5, CD185), also known as Burkitt lymphoma receptor 1 (BLR1), is a G protein-coupled receptor for chemokine BLC.
It is expressed in Burkitt’s lymphoma and lymphatic tissues such as lymph node follicles and spleen, playing a key role in B cell migration.
CXCR5 expression has been reported in human blood, salivary gland, and various animal tissues (lymph node, spleen, brain, liver, etc.).
As a member of the GPCR family, CXCR5 shares the seven-transmembrane structure typical of this receptor class, mediating signal transduction via G-proteins.
GPCRs are major pharmacological targets, with clinically significant drugs such as Zyprexa and Claritin developed against this receptor family.
