Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of about 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Synapse-Associated Protein 102 (SAP102) belongs to a family of plasma membrane-associated proteins located in synaptic junctions.
It contains three PDZ domains, an SH3 domain, and a Guanylate Kinase (GuK) domain.
PDZ-domain interactions are believed to contribute to receptor and channel clustering, enhancing neuronal plasticity.
SAP102 is involved in clustering NMDA receptors and shaker-type potassium channels at synaptic membranes in CNS neurons.
Other neuronal proteins sharing the T/SXV motif (e.g., β1 adrenergic receptor, serotonin receptors, sodium channel subunits) may also interact with SAP102 via PDZ binding.
Neuronal nitric oxide synthase (nNOS), though lacking the T/SXV motif, can associate with SAP102 through PDZ-PDZ interactions.
