• AA Sequence of recombinant protein:

• Preparation:
  Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Rat TNF-alpha. Anti-Rat TNF-alpha-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated.

• Sandwich ELISA:
  To detect Rat TNF-alpha by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution), a concentration of 0.25–1.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required.
  This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Rat TNF-alpha (500-P72) as a capture antibody, allows detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Rat TNF-alpha.

• Western Blot:
  To detect Rat TNF-alpha by Western Blot, use at 0.1–0.2 µg/mL.
  When used with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant Rat TNF-alpha is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions.

• Packaging:
  500-P72BT-1MG will be provided as 2 × 500 µg.

Target Information

TNF alpha is a multifunctional proinflammatory cytokine belonging to the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) superfamily. It is mainly secreted by macrophages and binds to receptors TNFRSF1A/TNFR1 and TNFRSF1B/TNFBR. TNF alpha regulates immune cells, cell proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, lipid metabolism, and coagulation. It exists as multimers and shows a single 17 kDa band under non-reducing SDS-PAGE conditions.
Knockout studies suggest TNF alpha’s neuroprotective functions and tumor necrosis activity. It plays a role in immune responses to bacterial, viral, parasitic, and fungal infections, and is implicated in autoimmune diseases, insulin resistance, and cancer.
