m6A는 mRNA 및 일부 비암호화 RNA 내부에 존재하는 변형으로, mRNA 스플라이싱, 처리 및 안정성에 영향을 미칩니다.
YTHDF1은 m6A-함유 mRNA의 리보솜 결합을 증가시키고 번역 개시 인자(eIF3A, eIF3B)와 상호작용하여 번역 개시를 촉진합니다.
신경 자극 시 m6A-함유 신경 mRNA의 번역을 촉진하여 학습 및 기억 형성에 기여하며, 축삭 유도와 항원 교차제시 조절에도 관여합니다.
종양 발생 맥락에서는 항원 교차제시를 억제하여 항종양 반응을 제한할 수 있습니다.
