Target Information
The trimeric complex of CDK7, cyclin H, and MNAT1 functions as a Cdk-activating kinase (CAK). It is an essential component of the transcription factor TFIIH, which is involved in transcription initiation and DNA repair. This complex links transcription regulation with the cell cycle and plays a role in BRCA1-mediated double-strand break repair. CDK7 may be a target of germline cancer-inducing mutations.
