The PA1-73094 antibody reacts with HIV-1 p24.
PA1-73094 has been successfully used in ELISA applications.
The antibody was raised against purified native p24 from strain IIIB.
Note: Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase.
Target Information
HIV-1 Gag p24 is a capsid protein forming the core of the AIDS virus HIV-1. It is produced by digestion of its precursor Gag p55 by HIV-1 protease.
The p24 protein is essential for virus particle construction and is detectable from early stages of infection. It serves as a marker for monitoring disease progression and viral load in patients after treatment.
