Aquaporin 1(AQP1)은 28 kDa의 막관통 단백질로, 적혈구 및 신장 근위세뇨관에서 처음 확인되었습니다.
AQP1은 맥락총(choroid plexus) 및 다양한 조직에서도 발현되며, 세포막을 통한 물의 선택적 이동을 담당하는 수분 채널을 형성합니다.
이를 통해 적혈구 및 신장 근위세뇨관의 세포막은 삼투압 구배에 따라 물을 빠르게 이동시킬 수 있습니다.
