Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 97% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
The cytochrome c oxidase (COX) family of proteins functions as the final electron donor in the respiratory chain, generating a proton gradient across the inner mitochondrial membrane and producing water.
The mammalian COX apoenzyme is a dimer, with each monomer composed of 13 subunits, both mitochondrial and nuclear.
COX6B2 (Cytochrome c oxidase subunit 6B2), also known as Cytochrome c oxidase subunit VIb isoform 2 or Cancer/testis antigen 59, is an 88-amino acid mitochondrial protein that joins two COX monomers to form the COX dimer.
COX6B2 is specifically expressed in testis and is upregulated in certain cancer cell lines.
