Target Information
H3K27me3는 히스톤 H3의 라이신 27이 트리메틸화된 후성유전학적 마크로, 유전자 발현 억제와 관련된 표식입니다. 주로 비활성 유전자 프로모터 및 헤테로크로마틴 영역에서 발견되며, 활성화 마크인 H3K4me3와 반대되는 패턴을 보입니다.
EZH2는 PRC2 복합체의 구성 요소로, H3K27을 트리메틸화하는 히스톤 메틸트랜스퍼레이스(‘writer’)이며, UTX와 JMJD3는 H3K27me3를 탈메틸화하는 효소(‘eraser’)입니다.
H3K27me3의 조절은 유전자 발현 제어에 매우 중요하며, 이의 이상 조절은 암 등 다양한 질환과 관련이 있습니다.
