Product Specific Information
- Specificity: Reacts with recombinant proteins containing 6xHis or 10xHis tags at either the amino or carboxy terminus. No cross-reactivity with endogenous mammalian or bacterial proteins.
- Production: Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. Antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned and screened to select optimal candidates.

Target Information
The 6x His tag is a synthetic oligopeptide consisting of six consecutive histidine residues (HHHHHH). It is typically fused to recombinant proteins at either the N- or C-terminal region to enable purification via immobilized metal affinity chromatography (IMAC).
Epitope tagging allows detection of recombinant proteins for which no antibody is available. His-tagged proteins can be purified through metal chelate chromatography due to strong affinity between histidine clusters and Ni²⁺ ions.
His tag-specific antibodies facilitate detection and co-immunoprecipitation of tagged proteins.
