Target Information
The Myb family of transcription factors, including A-, B-, and c-Myb, regulate differentiation, cellular growth, and gene expression.
c-Myb controls proliferation and differentiation of hematopoietic cells, decreasing as cells reach terminal differentiation.
MYBBP1A is a nuclear protein mainly localized in nucleoli and interacts with multiple transcription factors.
It enhances AhR-dependent gene expression and negatively regulates PPARγ coactivator 1α (PGC-1α) via p38 MAPK.
MYBBP1A also functions as a nucleocytoplasmic shuttling protein using CRM1-dependent and independent export pathways.
