This antibody detects endogenous levels of Ezrin only when phosphorylated at Tyr354, a site historically referenced as Tyr353.
Target Information
Ezrin is a cytoplasmic peripheral membrane protein that functions as a protein-tyrosine kinase substrate in microvilli. As a member of the ERM (Ezrin-Radixin-Moesin) protein family, it acts as a linker between the plasma membrane and the actin cytoskeleton. Ezrin plays a key role in cell surface structure adhesion, migration, and organization, and has been implicated in various human cancers. A pseudogene located on chromosome 3 has been identified, and alternatively spliced variants have also been described.
