Product Specific Information
This 2F1 monoclonal antibody reacts with the mouse Killer cell Lectin-like Receptor G1 (KLRG1), also known as Mast cell Function-associated Antigen (MAFA).
KLRG1 is a glycosylated homodimer (30–38 kDa) containing an ITIM-like cytoplasmic motif. It is expressed on approximately one-third of mouse NK cells and a subset of T cells. Expression is regulated by MHC class I molecules via Ly49 and SHP-1 signaling.
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Tested on mouse splenocytes at ≤1.0 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Optimize titration for best performance.
Fluorochrome Information:
Brilliant Ultra Violet™ 496 (BUV496) emits at 496 nm and is compatible with cytometers equipped with a 355 nm UV laser. Protect from light to prevent photo-induced oxidation.
Staining Recommendations:
Use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401-42) or Brilliant Stain Buffer™ (Product # 00-4409-75) when using multiple polymer dye-conjugated antibodies to minimize non-specific interactions.
Fixation:
Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product # 00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product # 00-5333-54) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark with minimal impact on brightness.

Target Information
KLRG1 (Killer cell lectin-like receptor G1, MAFA, 2F1-Ag) is a homodimeric lectin-like type 2 transmembrane receptor containing ITIM motifs that interact with SHP-1 phosphatase.
It functions as an inhibitory receptor expressed on NK cells and certain T cells, which are involved in tumor and virus-infected cell lysis and immune regulation.
