Product Specific Information
- For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
- For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Cytokeratin 8 is a type II keratin clustered on the long arm of chromosome 12. Type I and II keratins form intermediate filaments in epithelial cells. Cytokeratin 8 typically dimerizes with keratin 18 to form filaments in simple epithelial cells. It contributes to structural integrity, signal transduction, and cellular differentiation. Mutations in this gene are associated with cryptogenic cirrhosis.
