Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, an additional desalting step is recommended (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7 K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product # 89882).
Target Information
Cytokeratin 19 is a member of the intermediate filament protein family, showing biochemical diversity among human epithelial tissues with at least 20 polypeptides. Cytokeratins range from 40–68 kDa and have isoelectric points between 4.9–7.8.
Their expression patterns are characteristic of epithelial type and differentiation stage, aiding in the distinction of epithelial malignancies. Cytokeratin antibodies are valuable in immunohistochemistry, cytopathology, and flow cytometry.
Cytokeratin 19 is not expressed in hepatocytes, making it useful for identifying liver metastasis.
