Product Specific Information
- This antibody does not react with Rat.
- For immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris Buffer with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 min.
Target Information
Mucins are high molecular weight glycoproteins containing approximately 80% carbohydrate and 20% protein core. Gastric mucin is normally found in the human gastrointestinal tract. Resurgence of gastric mucin reactivity during colonic carcinogenesis is due to re-expression of the peptide core of gastric (or fetal colonic) mucins.
